ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Principal Software Engineer at RevU, you will lead our technological advancement and uphold our reputation as innovators in the ad tech space. This role demands a visionary leader who can drive our technology strategy, build and oversee a dynamic engineering team, and ensure that our platforms and products not only meet but exceed the industry standards. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining RevU's competitive edge, fostering a culture of excellence, and aligning technological developments with our strategic business goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of key technical projects, including:
- AdTech solutions (pixel tracking, attribution, etc.)
- Incentivized traffic tracking (click tracking, conversion events, server-to-server postbacks)
- "Back office" system design (billing, invoicing, customer support, and internal operations tooling)
- RESTful and API developmentAuthentication Systems (OAuth, API key management)
Spearhead Initiatives in:
- Managing growth and retention schemes (user referral or loyalty programs)
- Modernizing existing systems and platform migrations
- KYC tech/identity verification/fraud screening
- Machine learning (ML) inference-based fraud detection
- Recommendation engine development (offer suggestions, personalized experiences)
- Designing for GDPR/CCPA compliance
Other Responsibilities:
- Manage Mobile Measurement Partner integrations (e.g., Appsflyer, Adjust).
- Develop and implement a cohesive technology strategy that supports RevU's mission and business objectives, with a keen eye on innovation and market leadership.
- Lead, inspire, and manage our engineering teams, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous innovation, and collaborative success.
- Ensure the continuous development, efficiency, and scalability of RevU's ad tech platforms, keeping them at the cutting edge of the industry.
- Collaborate with the executive team to explore new business opportunities, leveraging technology to drive growth and enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain a pulse on emerging trends, technologies, and practices within the ad tech industry, integrating them into our strategy to keep RevU ahead of the curve.
- Champion the security, integrity, and compliance of our technology infrastructure, adhering to the highest standards of data protection and privacy.
- Guide technology-related decision-making, including architecture design, technology stack selection, and potential tech partnerships or acquisitions.
- Oversee technology budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives and maximize ROI.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required (strong understanding of):
PHP, SQL, JavaScript & CSS/HTML
Beneficial:
Laravel framework, React, Node, JS & SQL data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery)
Other:
- Demonstrable leadership experience in a technology executive role, preferably within the ad tech, digital marketing, or related fields.
- Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic advertising, data analytics, and user experience optimization.
- Expertise in software development practices, system architecture, and technology infrastructure management.
- Exceptional ability to mentor and develop high-performing engineering teams, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
- Strategic thinker with outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions that align with the company's long-term vision.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical strategies to diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.

Pay range and compensation package: Total Compensation: $200,000-$350,000 depending on experience
